Editorial Policy

A price guide has no value unless you know where the figures in it originate. The following editorial policy from Burger King regarding our menu explains the way in which we research, write, and update each guide on burgerkingmenuprices.com. It deals with the sources of our menu prices and store hours, the way in which we correct errors, and the measures we take to keep advertisements out of our writing.
These editorial standards cover every page on the website, whether it’s the breakfast menu or the lunch deals.

Who Writes Our Guides

Karen Borrington is responsible for writing the guides, and our editor, Peter Stimpson, examines each one before it is published. She gathers the prices and opening hours and turns this information into straightforward menu guides. Peter checks all the facts and makes any changes to the wording that might confuse the reader.
All guides go through both of them prior to publishing. For more information on our team, please see the About Us page.

How We Collect Menu Prices

In the official BK app we obtain the menu prices by first selecting a real store, then recording the city and the date. If you choose two stores in the same city through the app, you might find that the Whopper has two different prices. Each of the guides explains the source of its prices, for example, ‘Dallas, TX, October 2026’.
If it’s impossible to find out the price at one store, then we simply state that the price ‘varies by location’ rather than making an estimate.

How We Check Store Hours

We look at the opening hours for at least three Burger King stores through the BK app and Google Maps, since each franchise determines its own schedule, and as a result, one store might open an hour earlier than another one nearby.
As the hours vary, we give them in the form of general ranges, for example, the breakfast hours from weekday to weekend. Also, we state the names of the stores that we checked so you will know where the times originated.

Sources We Use

According to the Burger King Menu editorial policy, we use the BK app, bk.com, and various news websites that cover menu changes and new offers. Each source is listed within the guide. Moreover, every guide is followed by a Sources section so that you can click through and verify them for yourself.
On other menu websites, old prices are displayed, and if you copied them, you would carry those errors over as well. When a competitor deals with a particular topic, we check all the facts ourselves before using them.

How Often We Update Guides

We carry out a review of each guide at least once every 30 days, and more frequently if Burger King begins or concludes a deal. A limited-time offer might be available on a Monday and then vanish a few weeks later. Relying on a monthly check alone would fail to pick up changes of this kind.
All the guides have a “Last updated” date listed at the top, directly below the title.

Corrections

If a reader points out an incorrect price or time, we check it in the BK app before making any changes. Having a receipt or a photo of the menu board helps us to confirm the change more quickly. After the change has been confirmed, it is then made live, and a new ‘Last updated’ date is assigned.
If you would like to report an error, please use the Contact Us page. The accuracy of the prices increases each time a reader sends us a tip.

Independence and Advertising

We are not paid by Burger King, and neither is anyone at the company who looks at our guides before you read them. The same applies to Restaurant Brands International, which is the parent company of Burger King. This ensures that Burger King’s menu editorial policy is free from any influence from the company.
The advertisements on our website are provided by Google AdSense and Ezoic. Advertisers have no influence over our content, and the presence of an advertisement on a page should not be interpreted as a recommendation. For more details on brand names, please see our disclaimer.

Use of AI Tools

We occasionally use AI tools to assist with preparing outlines, writing the first draft, and with the editing process, but a person verifies all the facts. AI tools are not aware of the current price at your local store, and before any guide is made live, Peter Stimpson checks each price and time against the BK app and the official sources.
We never employ AI in coming up with prices, hours, or nutrition information; if a figure cannot be verified, it is omitted.
