What Time Does Burger King Open?

Most Burger King restaurants open at 6 a.m. or 7 a.m., and most drive-thrus open at 6 a.m.

The earliest drive-thru we found opens at 5 a.m. on South Central Avenue in Chicago. Some stores also open their drive-thru before the dining room. In Gambrills, Maryland, the drive-thru opens at 6 a.m., while the dining room opens at 7 a.m.

Most stores keep the same schedule all week. When times change, it’s usually a later drive-thru on Friday and Saturday or a later start on Sunday.

The drive-thru is where the days really differ. It stays open later from Thursday through Saturday.

These are the most common times across the stores we checked. We left out 24-hour stores, since they have no closing time.
Burger King hours on Sunday look a lot like the weekday schedule. Still, four stores opened 1 to 2 hours later, like a Brooklyn store on Fulton Street that opens at 8 a.m. on Sundays. A store in Lower Manhattan has much shorter weekends: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, compared with 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.

Burger King Breakfast Hours

Not every store has one, though. Six stores in New York City and downtown Chicago offered only dine-in, delivery, and pickup. One more, in Lower Manhattan, lists a drive-thru but shows it closed every day.

Dining Room vs. Drive-Thru Hours

The dining room, also called the lobby, almost always closes first. At most of the stores we checked, the drive-thru kept serving 2 to 4 hours after the inside of the store closed.
Take the Burger King on Scott Street in Houston. You can eat inside from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., but the drive-thru stays open until midnight every day. So if the lobby lights are off, pull around to the window before you give up.

Burger King Late-Night and 24-Hour Locations

Some Burger King stores are open 24 hours, but usually only at the drive-thru. Nine of the 25 stores we checked had a 24-hour drive-thru on at least one day. Only three kept the dining room open all night: one in Jersey City, one in Miami, and one on West 42nd Street in New York.
